Antique Narrow Style Red Lacquer Wedding Trunk with White Brass Plates. This antique red trunk has the original old red lacquer made from the organic mineral compound that is vividly beautiful and striking! It is well constructed in its woodwork both inside and outside with rounded edges on the top and is very clean inside. The white brass plates is made of more expensive metal ingredients than the usual yellow brass plates seen on most of the Chinese furniture pieces. The latch for the brass plates likely was replaced at some point. Early 20th century. This trunk with two old side metal handles for carrying makes a nice personal size to store all your valued personal items.
