Description
Very Rare Small Size Antique Northern Chinese Traveling Book Chest with Iron Fitting and Bamboo Trim in Original Black lacquer. Inside has two shelves with one small drawer missing. It also has an outside bottom drawer. Some replacement on the fitting. This chest was used to store rice paper bound manuscripts and other stationery tools with small metal loops for strapping and carrying it around. 150-250 years old.
