Larger Size Antique Square Bamboo Low Table with Black Lacquer Wooden Top. This antique table, cut down from a tall antique altar table, is constructed like a wood table with four bamboo tubes as legs wrapped by two sets of broader bamboo stretching and binding the four legs. In between the two sets of stretchers, one sees the uniformed latticework to further strengthen and keeping the stretchers in place. This type of bamboo table comes from northern China and the black lacquer wood top is often preferred to both prevent the leakage of water and to also prolong the usage of the table. 19th century.

The top of this table is very thick and sturdy-makes a nice coffee table or additional cocktail table for the Holiday!
