Description
Pair of Small Size Antique Gilt Carved Bed Panels with Openwork. Both panels are intricately carved. One is carved with a large bird flying and looking down next to a blossom branch. The other one is carved with two figures conversing with each other on path in a landscape. Both are beautiful carved and painted in vivid gilt color with the old red lacquer made from ground minerals. Some old bug holes on the side of one panel and some other losses on the carving. 19th century. Some repair; as is.
