Beautiful finely stitched antique textile with dragon motif in purple shades from the minority tribe in Yunnan China. New frame. Purple is the Daoist color and dragon is one of the Four Daoist Mythical Animals representing the East. Although there were some textile objects related to Daoism had been found in Yunnan, currently we do not know if there is any connection to Daoism with this textile. This embroidered textile might have come form the minority Miao tribe in Yunnan. It's an one-of-a-kind beautifully stitched art piece, probably part of a larger piece.
