Antique Ningbo Style Oval Shape Wooden Storage Container with Lid. Refinished in light brown color. Some replacement in the brass fitting. As is. Storage container like this was called "Shoe" box by the local people possibly for its dialect language sound pronunciation or symbolically for its storage function, but likely was used to store tea wares rather than shoes. Early 20th century. Minor weather cracks.
