This antique Southern Chinese wedding wooden trunk has beautiful original gilt painting with various floral motifs, butterfly, and coin design all painted very delicately over the original red lacquer. Replaced fitting with some repairs on the lacquer on front.

This trunk is part of a bride's dowry for everyday use to store clothing and personal items.
