Description
Ex-Large Size Hand-Carved Soap Stone Seal with Five Fu-Lions, including a large lion with four puppies, all intricately carved on a piece of grey body soap stone. This is an unused seal made ready for the new owner to put a new name at the bottom of the stone to use as a stamp when creating a piece of calligraphy or a traditional Chinese painting. 20th century. Comes with a silk clothed box.
Fu-lions are symbol of good luck as "Fu" is "Blessing" and "Good Fortune". It is also said to be able to ward off the evil spirits.
