Description
This slightly larger than medium size red lacquer cabinet is solidly made of Chinese northern elm including the sides of the cabinet as well. It is lavishly lacquered in organic red color pigment in thick layers and hand-painted with gilt butterfly motif. The inside of the cabinet is very clean and we have made a nice thick new shelf for it. Some cracks and chips on the lacquer surface with old repairs. This will be a striking and beautiful cabinet with plenty storage to showcase in a home! Late 19-early 20th century.
