Very Rare Antique Bamboo Tea Table with Ba-Wang-Chen Style in Original Dark Lacquer. The table top and the bottom shelf were fitted with wooden board. The joinery of this table imitates the look of an early style joinery called "Ba-Wang-Chen" of the wooden furniture pieces. The broad bamboo tubes were both bent (when wet) and inserted to each other where they connect to form a "wrapped around" design at all the corners for the table's basic frame.

Old bamboo furniture pieces are extremely rare. Though reproduced bamboo furniture pieces can be seen, few old pieces can be found. 19th century.
