Pair of well structured Bi-Gan style antique Southern Chinese bamboo armchairs with Ju wood seats. These bamboo chairs with interesting design are of a bamboo family- with broader hollow bamboo forming the frames of the chairs and the tiny bamboo twigs forming the lattice style supports as part of the design for the back rest and the arm rests. There are additional stretchers and supports on both the frame work and other detail to ensure sturbility. The semi Bi-Gan style design were fashioned after similar wooden chairs with a variation. This pair of bamboo chairs is in its original condition with the most beautiful patina from the old bamboo and will sure grace any room with its simple beauty. Minor old cracks.
