Description
Very rare 18-19th century Tibetan cabinet with original painting of Citipati image. We were told that this image was normally concealed by a hanging cloth, only during an important ceremony can a lama see the image. This cabinet was used for storing ceremonial utencils. It has been restored. Although reproduced items with this image can be seen, antique piece like this one is extremely rare. This piece is by far with the finest painted image of its type we have seen.
