This is a lovely smaller size antique Tibetan wooden storage trunk with leather sheets sewn and covering over the solid wood panels that constructed the trunk itself. The lovely red silk fabric that is against the various shades of the golden and the darker brown color of the leather is woven with gold threads, presenting a beautiful design of the double pomegranates on leafy branches. This trunk is slightly over two feet long and is narrow. Photo below shows the inside of another light- weighted antique Tibetan leather trunk that is made of stretched leather over a simple open frame that is built with only a few thin wooden sticks and branches.
