Beautiful 17-18th century large hand-clapped jar from southern China with a thickly built body with wonderful texture and beautiful blue and blue green glaze. This jar is a part of Swatow ware family, but one that is made with the perfectly round and balanced shape and perfect glaze. The jar was created in two half rounds and joined together. The glaze of the jar is in perfect condition. It is among the best examples of this type of ware. This is a good size of jar. It will make a beautiful art display in a home.
