Rare small size antique tulip shaped embroidered silk pouch with embroideries on both sides with beautiful colors of silk fabrics. The fabrics are cut in a zigzag design and stitched with gold threads where different fabrics are joined together, while black stitches were used for the contour shape of the pouch. One side is embroidered with a lovely flowering branch with a spider nearby. The bottom is stitched with a butterfly. The other side is embroidered with a different floral design. Late 19-early 20th century. such pouch with a tulip shape might have been used by a female to store or stash away personal items.
