Antique Chinese Two-Door Book chest with Original Thick Red Lacquer. This northern chest, sitting on an attached base, is solidly built and has been refinished in several layers of thick clear lacquer coating over its lovely organic red pigment and old patina. It has circular thick old brass plates on the door. The inside is an open space that is missing a shelf. But one can be easily installed. This lovely chest with an excellent size, not too big, can fit in any space or any room without feeling too bulky for the space. It is very useful for storing personal items, stationery, or any other treasures! It's deep, rich, and vibrant red color certainly can steal the eyes in a crowd!
