Very Rare and Excellent Antique Red Lacquer Pillow Box with Old Fitting.
This beautifully shaped pillow case is built with a wooden frame with red pigment made from organic substance. It is in its original condition without being refinished. The back does not have hinges and must be opened by lifting the lid off. The lacquer has an unusual hidden texture with threaded patterns that can be seen in the detailed photos. It has original old brass plates wih nice patina. Over 100 years old.
