this is a good Antique Northern Yu Wood Carrying Style Pillow Shaped Rest with a bench style Splayed Legs. It has beautiful wood grain and patina, and a good thick and soft lacquer finish. Such bench was likely used to carry around when needing a temporary rest. Late 19-early 20th century.
