Beautiful and rare small antique intricately carved folding bridal's personal stand in original red lacquer made of organic precious mineral with nice old fittings. 19th century. as-is. Small antique Chinese wooden objects with such nice natural red color is increasingly becoming rarer. this stand is carved with plum blossom branches and is from the Ningbo area in China where families with lucrative income traditionally gave beautiful red wooden wares to their daughters as dowry to use in the husband's home. This stand, possibly a wash stand, is very rare as we had never seen another one like this.
