Vintage 20th Century Red Lacquered Apothecary Chest with Drawers. This heavy tall herbal storage cabinet is constructed in the traditional style joinery with 26 drawers! The drawers are written with Chinese herbal names on the surface. One drawer is missing a name. Inside the drawers, there are also divided compartments. This cabinet is made of a combination of northern elm and other types of wood. Each drawer is fitted with a small rusted brass plate and pull. Such cabinet works well for modern living as it can allow organizing and storing many small items. The red lacquer is a warm orange red. The top and the sides of the cabinet are painted in black with some lacquer finish worn. This cabinet has some age, but was made during the 20th century.
