Antique Carved Horizontal Wooden Architectural Panel with Latticework. This beautiful panel is hand-carved with intricate motives such as flower baskets (peace, harmony), temple vases with religious objects, jade or metal ornament with eternal knots, and four bats tied with ropes inside large medallions, all well executed in fine detail. In the middle is an empty space in an opened scroll design, together with the two large medallions, key shape latticework, and all the supporting small carvings forming the whole composition. This wooden work is in its original condition with traces of brown color pigment. Such panel with its precious intricate woodwork in a horizontal shape is rare and makes wonderful wall decoration or simply as part of a wonderful collection in Chinese woodwork. 150-250 years old.

This piece is possibly part of an intricately carved architectural dwelling placed high on a wall structure. It serves both the needs for decoration and ventilation for an old residence.
