Pair of Antique Carved Ju Wood (southern Chinese elm) Tea Tables with Middle Shelf and Latticework. These antique tables from Ningbo area in China are very well built with generous good wood and nice craftsmanship. They are well presented with good choices of designed elements and detail. Very hard to come by a pair like this with excellent tropical dense wood and substantially built. We have recently refinish this pair of beautiful classical tea tables with a matt French-Polish lacquer finish to perfection. They will make an elegant statement for your living space as well as being functional. Possibly mid 19th century. Dimensions for each table: 15 1/2" x 15 1/2" x 31 1/2" H

It has two drawers (not currently shown in photo) on one side. The replaced rattan top was done some time ago and makes a soft appeal and easy to maintain by wiping down. 19th century. Large Square Coffee Table Inlaid with Rare Antique Latticework with Ming Style Floral Motif, FP Dark wood color. Comes with a thick glass top. The "four-petal" or "four-leaf" design has a long and interesting cultural background and dates back possibly to 13-14th century. Some also call this motif "Shi-Di", like that of the four small leaves that cover the top of a persimmon fruit. It is a motif often used on early Chinese architectural latticework, but a simple repeated pattern like this one without other patterns or carvings included in the composition can only occasionally be found. It is quite an elegant design! Dimensions: 48" x 49" x 19 1/4" H

Very Rare Antique Bamboo Tea Table with Ba-Wang-Chen Style in Original Dark Lacquer. The table top and the bottom shelf were fitted with wooden board. The joinery of this table imitates the look of an early style joinery called "Ba-Wang-Chen" of the wooden furniture pieces. The broad bamboo tubes were both bent (when wet) and inserted to each other where they connect to form a "wrapped around" design at all the corners for the table's basic frame. Old bamboo furniture pieces are extremely rare. Though reproduced bamboo furniture pieces can be seen, few old pieces can be found. 19th century. Dimensions: 15 1/4" L x 11" W x 28 1/4" H

A Special Rare Small Size Antique Ming Style Low Table with Curved Feet made of Yu wood. It is constructed with a single board top with a subtle waist band underneath the top. The broad spandrel design underneath the tabletop is actually part of the frame structure for the table. Noticeably, the legs were carved and executed in excellent and beautiful line and shape, turning outward with a high hoof style feet.The table has been stripped of its original finish and refinished in blonde color. 17-18th Century narrow Kang Table with carved early style dragon motif and original reddish brown lacquer finish. Similar style carved dragon can be seen on other Ming style older furniture pieces and architectural carvings from the 17-18th century. This one is great for its elegant proportion, carved early motif, and the original lacquer-it has it all! Kang is a hollowed Chinese bed platform made of bricks or cement often used in Northewrn China or in colder weather, especially duirng the old days when there was no electricity. To stay warm, one builds fire underneath the hollow bed. Since it might be the only place in the house that is heated, the bed is often built bigger than a normal bed and hence serves as an area for activities besides sleeping during the winter. Any furniture pieces that are used on top of a Kang bed, such as a low table, or by a Kang bed is called a Kang table or a Kang cabinet, etc. Dimensions:31"W x 11"D x 10 1/2"H

Rare Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) stone plaque,possibly from 16-17th century, hand carved with a mountain scene of a monkey climbing and reaching with a stick for a wrapped gift on a pine tree and two large longevity deers, next to an incense burner, biting Ling-Zhi medicinal mushroom, witnessed by two auspicious birds above. All set in a new coffee table frame ready for a glass top. This rare and beautiful ancient architectural relics unfortunately has a new breakage at the corner of the plaque that is obvious but outside of the carved area from our move to the current location. Nevertheless, it deserves to go to a nice home! Please inquire for the price. Dimensions: 19 1/2"h x 34"w x 22 7/8"d
