    Large Square Coffee Table Inlaid with Rare Antique Latticework with Ming Style Floral Motif, FP Dark wood color. Comes with a thick glass top. The "four-petal" or "four-leaf" design has a long and interesting cultural background and dates back possibly to 13-14th century. Some also call this motif "Shi-Di", like that of the four small leaves that cover the top of a persimmon fruit. It is a motif often used on early Chinese architectural latticework, but a simple repeated pattern like this one without other patterns or carvings included in the composition can only occasionally be found. It is quite an elegant design! Dimensions: 48" x 49" x 19 1/4" H

    Very Rare Antique Bamboo Tea Table with Ba-Wang-Chen Style in Original Dark Lacquer. The table top and the bottom shelf were fitted with wooden board. The joinery of this table imitates the look of an early style joinery called "Ba-Wang-Chen" of the wooden furniture pieces. The broad bamboo tubes were both bent (when wet) and inserted to each other where they connect to form a "wrapped around" design at all the corners for the table's basic frame. Old bamboo furniture pieces are extremely rare. Though reproduced bamboo furniture pieces can be seen, few old pieces can be found. 19th century. Dimensions: 15 1/4" L x 11" W x 28 1/4" H

    17-18th Century narrow Kang Table with carved early style dragon motif and original reddish brown lacquer finish. Similar style carved dragon can be seen on other Ming style older furniture pieces and architectural carvings from the 17-18th century. This one is great for its elegant proportion, carved early motif, and the original lacquer-it has it all! Kang is a hollowed Chinese bed platform made of bricks or cement often used in Northewrn China or in colder weather, especially duirng the old days when there was no electricity. To stay warm, one builds fire underneath the hollow bed. Since it might be the only place in the house that is heated, the bed is often built bigger than a normal bed and hence serves as an area for activities besides sleeping during the winter. Any furniture pieces that are used on top of a Kang bed, such as a low table, or by a Kang bed is called a Kang table or a Kang cabinet, etc. Dimensions:31"W x 11"D x 10 1/2"H

Such Chinese stone with natural grain pattern, rather than painted or made by man, resembling natural scenery or object is often called “dream stone (雲石)” and is favored and sought after by many collectors for Chinese art. The natural pattern on this stone is unique and poetic. It conveys a solitary and poetic feeling like that many Chinese poets and painters tried to portray in their work for centuries. It represents a spiritual pursuit and engagement. This table came from Ningbo (寧波)area in China.
