Description
Small Antique Carved Bed Fragment Small Antique Carved Bed Fragment with A couple with Original Organic Color Pigments. The man in a court costume sits on a horseshoe armchair holding a smaller female, possibly a concubine, as they converse inside a room with curtain and wall posts decorated in gilt dragon design. Crushed shell glitters were applied to this plaque when it was made as part of an elaborate canopy bed, part of the local characteristic of wood work from Ningbo, Zhejiang, Jiangsu area.
