This is a beautiful and interesting Antique Carved Bed Panel with A Warrior Scene from an elaborately carved antique Chinese canopy bed from the Ningbo area. This beautiful panel is deeply carved in a relieved style and is painted with organic red color pigment with gilt (朱金，Zhu-Jin, Red-and-Gold) and other organic colors as well. The two calligraphy characters written in gold on the black gate above the brick wall depict either a brass or bronze gate or the name of a city in Anhuei Province. The whole scenery depicts a tale of warriors in rescuing or helping someone to escape as one warrior holds the black gate from shutting down.
