Newly Made Hand-Carved Day Bed with Rattan Top and Head Rest. This beautifully made daybed is long and narrow, perfect for taking a nap and makes a wonderful and elegant statement for the owner at any spot in the house! Made in the traditional Chinese joinery with dense wood and hand-carved with auspicious phoenix and peony motif, this bed was made for a lady! It's beautiful hand-woven rattan surface is easy to wipe down. The bed seat is supported with cross bars underneath to insure the support of the weight. One small drawer at front underneath the bed is great for personal keeps. Dimensions: 70 1/2" L x 27 1/2" D x 22 3/4" H (top of headrest, and 16" H to the bed seat)

We have recently found a few of these dressers in one of our storage container. Some has three large drawers, Others has two small drawers on top and two large drawers. These dressers made with generous solid wood material are constructed with tongue-and-groove construction without nails and are very nicely hand-carved in sophisticated bamboo style. Contemporary Hardwood Round Stool with "Continuing" Design and Hand-Painted Porcelain Top with Floral Design. This vintage (used) 20th century garden stool style hardwood stool is constructed and carved with twisted thick bands "tied" with knots all in tongue-and-groove joinery without nails. The purpose of the design with a twisted vine or branch look is to suggest a "never-ending, continuing" Chinese aesthetics and philosophy that might have originated from Chinese calligraphy style. Such design of woodwork had been very popular during the Qing Dynasty and are still being created in the modern time. The top frame of the stool is made of a type of Huali hardwood with lighter color, while the wood for the rest of the stool is unidentified, but might still be some kind of hardwood. 20th century contemporary. The painted porcelain top makes this stool perfect as an end table next to a couch or a chair. It adds an elegance to a modern decor. This Extra Tall Two-Door Square-Cornered Cabinet with Red and Black Lacquer is very impressive with its labor intensive re-created thick and crackled style lacquer for a space that needs a statement piece as well as lots of storage. The cabinet itself is likely a 20th century old piece with a re-lacquered finish. It has two shelves inside as well as an extra storage space at the bottom that is accessible by lifting the shelve above it. The metal fitting is old iron rather than brass, which suggests that this piece is both from the north and the more inland area as well. Pair of Large Size Four-Protruding-Head Ming Style Armchairs made of Yu wood (northern Chinese elm) is excellent example of a timeless design reproduced from the early period. While similar styles of chairs both in antique pieces and in contemporary reproduced ones can be seen, these chairs here have the perfect design elements and proportions that are not only eye-appealing, they are also incredibly comfortable to sit in with its back supported curve on the back rest. The name of the "Four-Protruding-Head, Si-Chu-Tou" design refers to the two opposite ends of both the head rest and the two hand rest rails, which suggest its joinery structure that matches the name of the design. Recently refinished. One pair is available and sold as a pair only. A separate set of four similar style but in Two-Protruding-Head style side chairs without the arms are also available. This medium sized red cabinet designed by April Shen is constructed in the traditional style Chinese joinery with wood pegs. The front doors are created with a lattice style work, while the back is fitted with another lattice style wooden frame for wires and plugs that can be removed easily. It is a great piece for the heat ventilation as well. Inside is fitted with one shelf. This piece was designed with a compact space in mind. All furniture work designed by April Shen is no longer produced. This piece was used and cared for in a home for many years and has recently been refinished on the "Chinese red" lacquer work. It is ready to go to a new home to accompany a new owner! Dimensions: L 36" x W 19" x H 26"
